We are pleased to cater for all ages (over 6) and abilities, and understand that riding can be both an attractive and a daunting prospect.
We offer
​£15 half hour
£25 one hour £35 one & a half hours
£45 two hours
£60 three hours


Depending on confidence and experience, our rides can be escorted by a mounted ride leader, foot escort or lead rein if required.
We aim to develop outdoor riding skills and awareness appropriate to the riders' comfort and ability.



The White Hill Circuit: takes in part of the Mary Towneley Loop, all on good tracks with option of a grassy canter if appropriate. From the highest point of the ride there is a 360 degree panoramic view of the surrounding hills - on a clear day, Pendle Hill and the 3 peaks of the Yorkshire Dales.

Your safety and comfort are paramount, but with the thrill and enjoyment of outdoor riding.
We supply riding helmets to current standards.

Clients are asked to wear sensible footwear, and clothing appropriate to changeable weather conditions. We may ride up to 350metres/1200 feet.

If the weather / forecast is bad we will postpone your ride!!

​A two hour ride  will include riding up and down hills, opening gates, walk, trot and a canter if appropriate to experience and conditions - all off road in stunning scenery.

​The Clowbridge Rides: 
climb to Compstons Cross, a local landma
rk and then descends steeply towards Clowbridge reservoir, with stunning views. A varied and scenic route, all on good tracks with plenty of opportunities for trotting.

​Longer version will visit the site of the ancient village of Gambleside.

Picnic rides are suitable for most riders as distances can be flexible  - weather dependant!     £65 per person-picnic inluded
Day pub rides include light lunch and soft drink at the Ram Inn, Cliviger. Approx 5 hours riding     £85 per person - minimum 2 people. Experienced riders only.

​Compston's Cross is a well-known local landmark on the Rossendale Way. It stands at the junction of several packhorse trails that criss-cross this historic area.

As an Approved Centre we are proud and excited to offer Challenge Award training at the farm.

 Please note we are closed for trekking during November, December, January and February, when people and ponies have a well-earned rest. Dependent on the weather we will start coming back into work in March, and aim to be trekking out again in April.

For riding, the vet has set a weight limit of 14stone / 90kgs on our ponies for the comfort and wellbeing of both horse and rider.
