Peers Clough Packhorses are based at Peers Clough Farm in the Rossendale Valley in Lancashire. The packhorses are locally bred Fell ponies from the Wellbrow stud. They do not exceed 14hh but can carry up to 14 stone because of their wide bodies and sturdy legs. They are placid and surefooted as well as being full of character and fun to ride. . |

The ponies are ideally suited to the terrain and conditions of the Pennines, and give their riders a sense of comfort and security when on board. |

Peers Clough Packhorses is a family run business, giving a high level of personal service and attention. Our riding groups will be from 1 - 4 people led by qualified and friendly guides.

Is it for you? Our ideal client will be someone who has some riding experience, who wants to leave the arena for a couple of days to enjoy the freedom of riding out in a safe and controlled manner.
