· All rides will be accompanied by a qualified ride leader, who will also hold a First Aid at work certificate or equivalent
· All rides will carry a first aid kit, mobile phone, OS map and emergency survival kit
· All tack will be checked prior to departure by a staff member
· It is the riders personal responsibility to ensure they have a current safety hat, appropriate footwear and adequate outdoor clothing. Please ask if you do not have a hat.
· All clients will be asked to disclose relevant medical history prior to ride, and to sign a disclaimer
· Hi-viz tabards will be provided
· We reserve the right to refuse riders if they do not comply with the instructions of leaders, are inappropriately equipped, or abuse our ponies or property
· Weather conditions are unpredictable, and it is the decision of the ride leader whether the ride proceeds
· It is expected that riders are honest about their riding abilities
( and also their weight! )
· We will provide a pony that is fit, and in our opinion, suited to the riders ability and experience
Our ponies undergo regular veterinary inspections to ensure their health and wellbeing.
Our vet has set a weight limit of 14stone for the ponies when working.
I acknowledge that riding is a potentially dangerous activity.
I understand and accept that I ride at my own risk and assume full responsibility for my own safety.
I confirm that I have read and agreed to the Peers Clough Packhorses Code of Practice.
